Dates and deadlines for university

The timeline you’ll need to know about:

March – September

Research and make choices about the course you’d like to do (universities offer open days and conferences).

October

Deadline for sending UCAS applications if you’re applying for Cambridge or Oxford, or Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science/Medicine in any university.

January

Deadline for sending UCAS applications for all other universities and courses. Most colleges and schools encourage students to apply before this deadline, typically November.

June

If you miss the January deadline, you can still apply for universities up until June but applications will be marked as ‘late’ so you may not stand the best chance.
